Piracetam

Piracetam is the world's best selling nootropic product. Initial interest was sparked by its use in the treatment of senile dementias as Piracetam is noted for its role in the treatment of age-related mental decline. DOSAGE

Adults initially take piracetam at higher doses for the first month: 2,400mg taken morning and afternoon. After that period, doses are reduced to 1,200mg morning and afternoon. Some patients take doses as high as 8,600mg per day but this is unusual and not recommended.

Side effects at lower doses are very uncommon, this may be because Piracetam has an LD50 higher than salt! Side effects can include nausea, dizziness, and headache. Even at higher doses, Piracetam is virtually free of side effects.

Piracetam is synergistic with other nootropic drugs, particularly products containing choline, ergoloid mesylates and caffeine etc. When combining with these products, overall doses may need to be reduced, in order to avoid over stimulation.
